Today, Everything is Wrong!
Expect the unexpected! The Play That Goes Wrong, the classic slapstick comedy on Broadway that toured 35 countries and won numerous theatre awards, including the prestigious Tony Award for Best Scenic Design of a Play and Britain's WhatsOnStage and Olivier Awards for Best New Comedy, is coming to Hong Kong.
An amateur theatre troupe steps in at the last minute to perform a 1920s-style murder suspense, The Murder at Haversham Manor. Chris, the troupe's leader, is a jack-of-all-trades as the lead actor, director, set designer, costume designer, prop master, ticketing officer, publicity manager, sound director, and action director. With everything set to go, all troupe members are determined to use this production as their big break! However, the show is doomed to go "wrong" from the start, with one mishap leading to another. The set collapses, technical issues abound, relationships muddled, lines are missed, cues are flubbed, and props go awry. Everything that can go wrong, does go HORRIBLY wrong! In the midst of the chaos, the audience witnesses a theatrical disaster turned comedy masterpiece. In the face of shattered dreams, the show must go on. Can they turn their failures into success?
